Ford recently revealed the 2018 F-150 Police Responder, which is the nation's first pursuit-rated pickup truck. This vehicle offers law enforcement agencies a capable, durable vehicle for both on- and off-road situations.

Based on the F-150 FX4 off-road model, the truck is performance-rated for up to 100 mph, and ideally suited to meet the needs of rural law enforcement agencies like sheriff's departments, fish and game authorities and border patrol operations.
The truck has been designed with a purpose-driven interior that includes front seatbacks constructed of a special "anti-stab" synthetic armor, police-calibrated brake system, an easy-to-clean vinyl floor, all-terrain tires and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also features a 240-amp alternator to support all of the required on-board electronics, plus a police-calibrated speedometer and meters that track ytotal engine hours and idling time.
