Ford has decided to sponsor the Woodward Dream Cruise. The Dream Cruise happens once a year, and is America’s largest annual celebration of automotive-related history and culture. This year, they will be bringing back the popular Mustang Alley event. This features hundreds of Ford Mustang coupes and convertibles spanning the decades, and is a fun way for enthusiasts to share their enthusiasm with each other and the local community.
”You Can’t Build a Reputation On What You are Going To Do” – Henry Ford
The founder of Ford Motor Company would be proud of his company’s decision to celebrate this event. Ford is, after all, one of the pioneers of the American auto industry, and by participating in this event, they’re showing that they not only are driven to innovate within the bounds of selling cars, but also are equally committed to fostering community engagement. Although Ford makes the cars and the public drives them, many people at Ford are just as passionate about their vehicles as outside enthusiasts are. This event, then, gives the public and Ford employees a chance to connect. It gives the community a chance to come together around a common passion – cars.
Ford Driving Skills for Life
This year’s dream cruise will also feature Ford’s “Driving Skills for Life” program. This program aims to “teach advanced driving skills to new drivers” with the goal of creating a safer driving force, and by extension, a safer America.
The 2018 Woodward Dream Fest will take place August 19th and is expected to draw over a million people. It should be a fun event for the whole family.
